I rarely see any 5/8/77 hype around here, but since YOU brought it up here's my take:

Dew is top 5
Row Jimmy is stellar
Stephen>NFA is one of the best
Dancin not too shabby
Scarlet>Fire is top 5

I loved this show long before I ever knew it was supposed to be the best show. It was just one of many tapes I somehow acquired and I thought it was a cut above the other tapes. I'm not here to say it's the best show ever but it certainly has many very good versions of songs that were popular at that time. I prefer it over 5/7 or 5/9.

My vote for favorite show may be 3-9-81. Check out the crispy board that is now available:

3/9/81? Did you choose that show because the Minglewood blows away the opening tune from Barton?

Great selection. I love the 1st set.

I like some of the 76-77 Minglewoods before Bob ruined them with his slide guitar.

I just cant get enough of 3-9-81 and the companion show 3-10-81 is no slouch either.
